title of post today is "Learn to thank God for ALL that happens"HHAHA, i feel like i'm gonna preach.anyway i didn't go to work again today cos yes the cough is getting worse and i'm not feelings exactly very well. BUT! better than ytd, and praise God for that! i could'nt sleep as usual last night cos i was coughing and wheezing throughout the night; so i started thinking bout alot of stuff. 2007 was certainly not a great year for me after the SP thingy (refer to July 2007 archive) and family stuff and all so many things on top of Olevels. i prayed in camp and out of camp that 2008 will be a victorious year for me and that i will really start to have faith and believe in things that i couldn't see and in things tt were beyond human explanation because that is faith. 2008 didn't start of well either, with friendship issues and relationship problems just after the clock struck for year 2008 to start and with my grandfather in critical condition. i told chinrong tt i started to have doubts for 2008 and started to doubt whether God will truly make 2008 a victorious year for me and my family. and that goofy goodfriend of mine with small eyes blessed me with a verse from 1 Peter 10 that says "after you have suffered for a little whole, himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast". amen to that brother! :D through the TAWGs, God has really been speaking. in service and through the actions and alot of ppl, i've really caught a glimpse of how awesome 2008 will be! and thank God for that. more breakthroughs will come! can i hear an amen?! and i started to count my blessings, from justin lu all e way to bro andrew and the rest and new found friends ken seah and the group.and i thank God for all the friends i've made in Ignyte that made so much difference! sometimes i wanna repeat the shoutouts i've done so often but then i think ppl get tired of it. but that is how much i realy appreciate u all :D really! in DL last time i remembered hearing the leaders teach us to thank God in joy and in sorrow. even if u have a bad illness, cancer or even onyour death bed you thank God, cos God is your peace and portion forver; and i say FOREVER. amen? (: and this generation (including myself) really need to learn what it means to thank God in the midst of adversities. whether or not we suceed in what we want to do or whether things go according to planned, we need to thank God. thank God for what you may ask? for being your God first and foremost, for being your victory, for being there for you, for providing for you and for not making things worse. and just thank God for being a God whose grace is sufficient for you, familiar? (: imagine, i'm down with a bad sorethroat cough and flu now. but thank God i didn't get cancer or maybe worse die. thank God i get to live and breathe! isn't that already worth thanking God for friends? instead of complaining why this and why that, why not we take a step back and ask why things happened and how to solve them instead of blaming God for what has happened? for all you know, God might have warned u against what u have initially set out to do and perhaps it was a wrong move and thus we reap what we've sown. instead of complaining God is silent and is 'faraway', why not ask yourselves why God is so silent? why not ask yourself when was the timeS God was NOT silent, and when they were the timeS God was there to help you. fact is, he's ALWAYS there. why not blame ourslves for playing with God's heart and treat him like a last resort? Ah, think bout it there (; God has plans to prosper us and not to harm us that's stated in his word dears! :D and i'm still believing, still praying, still pressing on for more of the things of God! 2008 might not have started out the way i wanted it to be but i declare and proclaim that God's will be done and not mine, i declare 2008 will end of awesome! (: to God be the glory, for the things he has done, did and will do :D ps: i miss you bestbestbestfriend (: you're still my number1 ;D dinner date tml! (:
